The V5 Titan is a dedicated high current power supply system that delivers absolute and instantaneous power. The unit is 220mm wide, 350mm deep and 147mm high. It has 3 independent sockets, each of which has its own dedicated power cleaning network. Thus, the V5 Titan consists of three high current low impedance power and cleaning networks in a single slim housing. Both differential and common mode interference are drastically reduced. Cross contamination of the connected components is also kept to a minimum by using multiple current cleaning stages for each output socket. Most power filters connect output sockets together and are connected in series. This is not particularly smart because the differential mode interference generated by the connected electronics then overlaps from one output socket to the other

The electrical architecture and design of the V5 Titan has been dramatically improved. Board design and topology have been revised and now offer over 50% improved current and lower resistance. Unique critical (bespoke) components have better overall tolerances with improved inductance and current handling. The new circuit offers twice the inductance, increasing current by 80%, resulting in more open soundstage, microdynamics and detail with excellent timing. Drastically improved DCR has been applied throughout the design. As part of IsoTek's goal to reduce DCR to bring performance closer to the zero ohm ideal, the V5 Titan has been significantly improved compared to its predecessor.

These technological improvements mean that the V5 Titan offers even higher performance with no restriction on current delivery within the utility's capabilities and regulations. In general, for power amplifiers and high current components, IsoTek offers outputs with extremely low impedance and minimal DC resistance. When the current is contaminated by noise, the dynamic range is reduced. It's just like birdsong being drowned out by traffic noise. It's not that birdsong is inaudible, it's just that it's masked by unnecessary background noise.

IsoTek's circuit designs offer greater perceived dynamics. Dynamic range in music is the ratio between the loudest and quietest sound produced combined with a reduction in the noise floor, or in other words dynamic range. To achieve high current and exceptionally low resistance across the entire circuit board, eight times the usual amount of copper is used before silver plating.

Source device filters with a moderate DCR component are used to assist in the filter design. This DCR circuit provides improved isolation between the connected devices, eliminating as much differential mode noise as possible generated by connected devices.

The V5 design features a 16A RCBO fuse system for the three high current output sockets, which deliver 3,680W at 230V or 1,840W at 115V.

This fuse system is a significant improvement over a normal standard fuse due to the contact area. Due to its electrical function, a standard fuse must have a very thin wire, this also applies to expensive audiophile gold-plated versions. The IsoTek fuse system offers at least 1000 times better contact area and a consistently strong connection.

KERP© (Kirchhoff's Equal Resistance Path) ensures uniform resistance and an identical power supply for all outputs. The internal wiring is of the highest standard - high-purity, silver-plated Ohno continuous cast solid-core copper strands offer low resistance and ensure the transmission of high currents. The conductor is first surrounded by a spiral of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), then protected by an extruded FEP dielectric, which forms a virtual dielectric of air (FDA).
