SOLID WIRE CONDUCTORS MADE OF PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+)

Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interference between individual strands. PSC+ Solid-Copper reduces distortion caused by grain boundaries and enables maximum linear high-frequency noise dissipation.

DOUBLE-STAR-QUAD GEOMETRY

vThe relationship of the individual conductors to each other defines the basic electrical properties of a cable (capacitance and inductance). Even when these variables are kept in a sensible balance, the sound is greatly affected due to the special geometric relationships of the conductors to each other. The star-quad geometry is far superior not only to conductors running in parallel, but also to the same conductors running as two twisted pairs.

DIELECTRIC BIAS SYSTEM WITH HIGH FREQUENCY NOISE TRAP

The insulation between two or more conductors is a dielectric whose properties affect the integrity of the signal. If the dielectric is not biased, the involvement of the dielectric (absorption and non-linear release of energy) causes different time delays (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, which is a major problem for very time-critical multi-octave audio. The inclusion of an RF trap (originally developed for AudioQuest's Niagara series power products) ensures that no high frequency noise from the DBS field elements enters the signal conductors. CARBON-BASED NOISE AND CROSSTALK DISSIPATION SYSTEM

The negative conductors of this cable are insulated with partially conductive carbon-based polyethylene. This remarkable material dampens high frequency interference so that it is not fed back into the amplifier. This brings the same sonic benefit of reducing fluctuations and improving spatiality as reducing RF interference in an audio circuit. An additional carbon layer dampens the mutual influence of positive and negative conductors, and the three-layer carbon-based NDS system as the outer layer also absorbs external interference.

POLYETHYLENE FOAM INSULATION (FOR ALL POSITIVE CONDUCTORS)

Any solid material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of an incomplete electrical network. Cable insulation and the material of the circuit boards absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. However, in the Rocket 33, air-filled polyethylene foam insulation is used for both conductors. Because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene has low losses and a benign distortion profile, PE foam with its high air content causes significantly less blurring effects than other materials.v
