Dynamics & Audio

The History of Dynaudio

Dynaudio loudspeakers are developed to meet the highest demands in sound quality. Implemented in elegant surface finishes.

In the beginning, Dynaudio was a surprise. The exterior resembled classic Danish (real) wood design. The content, however, was all the more innovative and the technology was ahead of its time.

The company was founded as a result of research by several engineers who realised that the frequency response of the loudspeaker is not the only factor that determines the sound quality that can be achieved. Timing accuracy and dynamic behaviour in music reproduction also play an extremely important role.

In 1977, these findings were implemented in the P series. Many other sound innovations then found their way into the successful Dynaudio 80, 100 & 200 model series in the 1980s.

DYNAUDIO Consequence

The icon of 1983

In 1983, Dynaudio created an icon with the Consequence loudspeaker. The loudspeaker was and still is recognized worldwide as a milestone in loudspeaker technology. To this day, the Dynaudio Consequence is a sought-after rarity among connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Therefore, it is still manufactured individually on special request.

The floor-standing loudspeaker is designed for size in almost all of its features. With a weight of 114 kg, an exceptional value has been achieved even here. But the really important details lie in the craftsmanship that characterizes this loudspeaker.

The two 30cm woofers deliver a rich and balanced bass. Two drivers each were installed for the mid and high frequencies. From the woofer/midrange driver to the super tweeter, the Dynaudio Consequence achieves a huge range of detailed sound. Only a brand, a company, or almost a manufacturer, like Dynaudio, with over 35 years of experience, can manage to produce a loudspeaker with such consistency.

The Dynaudio Contour series

The Contour is probably the best-known speaker model series from Dynaudio. You will also find many of the technologies from the Evidence & Platinum models in the bookshelf speakers.

Like all Dynaudio loudspeakers, the housing is extremely stable and therefore low in vibration. Dynaudio achieves this stability and calm sound through the mix of the front wall, a layer of insulation material and the heavy front metal plate.

High End Performance with the Dynaudio Evoke

The speakers in the Dynaudio Evoke series always offer you an impressive sound experience. Whether in the living room, combined in a home cinema, or any other room of your choice.

Dynaudio has equipped the Evoke with the most advanced chassis technology and incorruptibly beautiful cabinet surfaces.

After months of intensive research and development, a loudspeaker family with five models was created. Its extensive experience allowed the development team to combine cutting-edge technology from the Contour series and the Confidence series, which was also completely newly developed. The particularly high quality of workmanship and the traditionally elegant housing, which looks great in any listening environment, round off the overall picture. Evoke represents an exceptional price-performance ratio.

Dynaudio Heritage Special

Hear craftsmanship. Hear real wood. Hear handcrafted state-of-the-art tweeters and woofers. Hear over 2000 hours of development work, the deepest depths of your record collection. Hear what you love.

This is a tribute to Dynaudio's most legendary compact speakers. Step closer and you'll see little design references to classics like the Crafft (1989) and the Special Twenty-Five (2002). There are nods to the first Contour (1986). And even the back plate looks with a knowing eye towards Sapphire (2008).
