As the little brother of the recently introduced new integrated amplifier flagship of the NAD Classic Series C 399, the NAD C 389 has largely the same design and equipment features as the larger model. Numerous analog and digital inputs, including an HDMI eARC connection, innovative HybridDigital power amplifiers and a high-resolution 32 bit / 384 kHz ESS Sabre D/A converter make the C 389 the versatile and sonorous center of any HiFi system.

The C 389 is the second NAD model to feature the latest generation of Modular Design Construction (MDC) technology. This concept, known as MDC2, allows the amplifier to be equipped with optional modules using slots integrated into the rear panel, which expand the functionality of the device and provide access to future technologies.
