Profi-Meinung
Thanks to its integrated phono preamplifier, the Pro-Ject is ideal for bringing analog playback media into the digital world of Sonos, for example.
The T1 from Pro-Ject Audio Systems is the first record player in the T-Line that delivers real HiFi sound quality for little money. It shines with high-quality materials, a stylish look and an incredibly lively sound. During the extensive development process, meticulous attention was paid to ensuring that no compromises were made in terms of sound quality despite the incredible price.
Compared to the standard T1 model, the Phono SB version features an integrated, high-quality MM phono preamplifier developed by Pro-Ject and an electronic speed switch between 33 and 45 RPM.
The stylish, CNC-milled chassis, available in high-gloss black, matt white & walnut, contains no plastic parts and is manufactured entirely without cavities, so that no unwanted vibrations can occur in the chassis.
In keeping with this philosophy, the turntable is also made of solid glass. In contrast to plastic or light steel turntables, this effectively suppresses unwanted resonances.
Audiophile design is raised to a completely new, affordable entry-level level
While many other record players have unregulated DC motors with massive wow and flutter, the T1 Phono SB has our established, electronically controlled, precise AC motor. The T1 Phono SB also has an electronic speed switch between 33 and 45 RPM. This system guarantees a quiet, stable drive of the record player.
The T1's turntable is driven by a belt. This precisely transfers the drive power to the newly designed sub-platter, which in turn sits in the ultra-precise 0.001mm turntable bearing with a hardened stainless steel shaft in a brass bushing; just like in our proven Essential III models. In addition to its smooth-running motor, the T1 therefore offers a stable and low-resonance platform for the tonearm and pickup.
The T1 tonearm is a new tonearm version that builds on long-established Pro-Ject designs. The 8.6" long tonearm is made from a single piece of aluminum and is equipped with low-friction bearings so that tracking is always carried out with absolute precision. In addition to the great look, the integrated headshell prevents additional vibrations that occur with glued or screwed headshells, and is therefore a great improvement in sound.
The pre-assembled Ortofon OM 5E quality cartridge with elliptical needle cut makes this record player a real HiFi playback device without compromise.
